PRO, ELITE AND AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2017

The Lyon e-Sport #10 is coming very soon, the 64 teams are getting ready to compete!

We want every single team to enjoy the event from the beginning to the end and this is why we came up with a 3 tournaments system which will allow each team not to be eliminated too early in the week-end. It is a bit complex, here is the principle:

The 64 teams have been drafted in 16 groups of 4. After the group phase, the 1st of each group will be qualified to the "Tournoi Pro". The 48 remaining will play the "Tournoi Amateur".

The "Tournoi Amateur" will be played this way: 8 groups of 6 teams. The 1st of each group will be qualified to the quarter finals (no looser bracket for the "Tournoi Amateur"). Matches will be BO1 until the semi-finals (BO3), and then the final will be a BO5.

The 16 teams qualified into the "Tournoi Pro" will compete in a double elimination bracket (winner + loser bracket). Matches will be BO1 until the semi-finals included. Then, the final of the winner bracket and the final of the loser bracket will be in BO3. Finally, the Grand Final, the one delivering the title of Champion of the Lyon e-Sport #10 will be epic and will be in BO5 on stage.

You got it until there? Ok, let's add an other element then! Teams eliminated from the "Tournoi Pro" during the 5 first turns of the loser bracket will have a chance to continue the adventure through the "Tournoi Elite". It will be a single elimination bracket in BO1 until the semi finals (BO3) and then the final in BO5.

That's it for the basic! No worries, we will give you more explanation and admins will be there to guide players through our "amazing week-end for everyone" magic recipe! For teams, all 3 tournaments are worth the fight with specific rewards for each!

See you very very soon! ;)
